Output Mismatch was created by Mohammad Rifky
Hi,

Currently, I'm working on PV + BESS systems, comparing new LFP/NMC and second-life LFP/NMC for BESS implementation for my dissertation. I found mismatches between the output values from SAM in the summary section and those in the exported "Cash Flow" Excel file with equations. Which one should I use?

Hi Mohammad,

The results shown on SAM's Results page are the results calculated by SAM. The data you see in the Excel workbook when you click Send to Excel with Equations on the Cash Flow tab of the Results page are a mix of results from SAM and values calculated by Excel formulas. You should use the values on the Results page in SAM when you write about or discuss SAM results.

The purpose of the Excel workbook is to help you understand SAM's cash flow calculations. You can also use the workbook if you want to modify cash flow calculations or develop your own cash flow model in Excel based on SAM's model.

Best regards,
Paul.
