Hello-

I use SSC to run energy models for the solar company I work for. I am generally amazed by the tool and the breadth of its functionality.

In 2019 I wrote to this forum asking about the horizon shading tools in the code. At the time, horizon shading was only implemented for fixed-tilt systems. I am wondering if since then horizon shading for tracking systems has also been implemented.

thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

I think you are referring to this conversation: sam.nrel.gov/forum/forum-general/2204

We have not made any changes to the 3D shade model equations since then.

Best regards,
Paul.
