Me am also strugglying due to the No internet connection error -1.
I had followed to register w/out Key to have a new number, and the Registration failed with error code -1. Please check your internet connection comes back.. still I have internet connection, went to Proxies, which I dont have, so no way to ...

Please try removing SAM, downloading a new version from sam.nlr.gov/download , and then reinstalling SAM.
