This topic describes SAM 3.0 and has not been revised for SAM 2009 Beta. You may find useful information, especially if you are new to SAM, but some of the information may be inconsistent with the new version. |
When you open a project, Solar Advisor displays the main window, which provides access to input pages, results, and command menus.
Input Pages
The input pages are where you view and edit input variables:
| • | The case tabs display different cases in the project. |
| • | Click an item in the navigation menu to display an input page. The active input page is indicated on the menu in blue. |
| • | Click Configure Simulations to define the simulation parameters. |
| • | Click Run to generate a set of results. |
Results
Solar Advisor displays results data in graphs and tables, and allows you to export the data in various formats:
| • | Review economic and performance metrics in the Metrics table. |
| • | Use the tabs and buttons under the graph to control the appearance of graphs and display data tables. |
| • | Click Configure Sliders to set up and display sliders that allow you to dynamically change the value of an input variable and observe the effects on tables and graphs. |
| • | Click Export and view to export data in different formats and view hourly data in a data viewer. |
